About Me
Last Updated: 7 August 2008
I began this blog as a set task while I was on the Transformation Teachers’ Programme. My first post was on 22 March 2007. The purpose of the blog was to reflect on what I was learning on the course. It was also to be a place where I could share any resources I produced with others on the course. I also asked questions of my tutors and fellow participants, particularly when I had technical problems. I soon began using my blog to share links, and to describe how other teachers were using ICT in their classrooms.
Eventually I began a post about other subject blogs, which I now try and update fairly regularly, and then I added a post about students who blog, with links to their blogs.
In the meantime, I had begun using Flickr a lot, so occasionally I’d post some of my favourite pictures on my blog, and before I knew it I was using Twitter a lot too!
I now use the blog in a variety of ways:
1) to share good ICT resources that I have discovered on the internet;
2) to reflect on my own use of ICT in the classroom (in my role as an RE teacher);
3) to upload some of the videos/podcasts/images/other documents that I have produced;
4) to let people know about my husband’s recently published book;
5) to comment on other ICT/educational developments / discussions that I come across on the web;
6) to network professionally / socially with other educational bloggers;
7) to share with the world things that are going on in my life generally.
I’m sure there are more uses, these are just the main ones that come to mind!
I do love a good conversation, so please feel free to comment either here or on any of the posts, by clicking on the small phrase “no responses so far”, “2 responses so far” or whatever at the bottom of the post. Let me know what you think, what you have been trying out in your classroom or what you use your blog for. I look forward to hearing from you!

I was so pleased to read your comments about my RE blog and have talked to our Joe Dale about you! Your research sounds really interesting and you are obviously enjoying trying all these new things out on the children! I am just about to try out an assessment for learning activity on my RE team tomorrow as guinea pigs – I will let you know how it went – hopefully well enough for them to then use in their RE lessons! – Keep Blogging!
Hello! Good Site! Thanks you! enqffjtqglix
Interesting blog. There aren’t many RE displays in the Classroom Displays group – and you do take photos
By the way, I just wondered if Dr Terrell involved in your course at all? I knew him from Ultraversity. If so say Hi from me
Linda – I have now joined your group and will have a look through my photos – I normally try and take photos of my displays, so I hope to send you some soon! And, yes, Ian T was my supervisor last year – I will pass on your greetings! Thanks for the comment!
