I occasionally log on to Twitter these days. I found an interesting article that lists some of the ways in which this blogger uses twitter. Perhaps someone could consider how Twitter can be used educationally? There are definitely lots of edubloggers using Twitter!

An experiment … a few photos I took at Tate Modern, put together using One True Media. What do you think? (And has this “post to blog” link worked?)

I thought I’d share some of our Year 7 students’ artwork with you all! I like this type of slideshow.
(And is it very sad to admitting to dreaming about a classroom consisting of an auditorium with a large, effective projector and a side room with an excellent Visualiser in it? Made me want a Visualiser all over again!)

The awards for this year’s Edublogs Awards have been handed out – I can’t think of a better way of sharing ideas about blogging and passing on good ideas than by sharing a link to the site that outlines the winners! But also have a look at all the other finalists as well.

I hope one of these links works! This is interesting for two reasons. First of all, on Monday it is the tenth anniversary of the term “weblog” being used for the first time. Secondly, it has introduced me to the idea of VoiceThread. Thanks to Joe Dale for the link!

Just found another advent calendar, courtesy of Nodehill RE blog. A good learning experience!

Quintura - a search engine for children, with words, pictures and a bubble map of words to click on to try and find music, pictures, online games or TV programmes. Just thought I’d share it with you. Am watching the Liverpool Nativity just now. Quite fun.

I have found this link to an interactive Jesse Tree, which explains the symbols that are placed on the Jesse Tree each day during Advent. Since my Year 8s have been studying “Covenant”, I think this will be particularly helpful for them, but I also hope to show it to my Year 7s and my Year 9 form as well.
There is also an excellent St Nicholas Advent Calendar from the Culham Institute that I am delighted to be able to share with you all!
Have a happy and hopeful Advent!
