Recycling?

Here is a shot taken yesterday morning from my house of the tip behind us. I was surprised to see a green recycling van dropping off green recycling bags. I had heard that not all recycled material gets recycled, but to see that in my own back yard … well, I had to take a photo. Or six.

Unfortunately, I think this goes on more than we all think. It is fashionable to run up a green flag etc but when it comes down to changing practice and the potential extra time or cost involved then that is where things start to unravel.
We have been trying to get a general paper (not newspaper) collection going on the Isle of Wight for schools due to the huge amount of paper used. However because there is no money in it then noone will do it.
A very sad state of affairs!
