My First Proper Post

Published by skambalu at 11:19 am under AS, camera, podcasting

What an exciting day today! Last night, I got my camera and information about the first task that I need to complete, which is to take some pictures and figure out how I can use them in a lesson. I also need to set up my school Flickr account, and this blog. So here I am … I’ve taken some photos of my empty classroom, a short video of the pupil play during their assembly, and a couple of photos and a video of my sixth formers doing a VAK task …

Had an idea that my Sixth Formers liked … I could video myself teaching a short revision session (with no pupils), using a powerpoint, and they could download it as a podcast or something. Perhaps this will be something I’ll be able to learn to do?! Can’t wait!

Great, as far as I can see you are the first to comment. I look forward to see you photos etc. The idea for your sixth form students will be easy and if you plan it before next Friday you may well be able to produce it on the day. To save sapce you could consider using still photos and powerpoint slides as stills and then recording the audio. These can be put together as a podcast for your students and posted onto your google account.

I look forward to working with you on this project and developing other resources.

How nice to have a comment already! I look forward to trying out that idea on Friday. Hopefully my sixth formers will have some revision help over the holidays!
